DJ Taucher
Ralph-Armand Beck (born 20 February 1966), known professionally as Taucher (German for "diver"), is a German trance DJ. Taucher began spinning in 1992, initially collaborating with Torsten Stenzel (1993–2002). He quickly became one of the best-known spinners on the Frankfurt club scene. His 1999 compilation album ''Life Is a Remix'' was a success, as was his ''Live at Webster Hall, New York City'', which peaked at number 43 on the US Billboard Heatseekers chart in 2000. Trance Music
Trance is a genre of electronic dance music that emerged from the British new-age music scene and the early 1990s German techno and hardcore scenes. Trance music is characterized by a tempo generally lying between 135–150 beats per minute (BPM), repeating melodic phrases and a musical form that distinctly builds tension and elements throughout a track often culminating in 1 to 2 "peaks" or "drops". Progressive house is a subgenre of house music. The progressive house style emerged in the early 1990s. Deep House
Deep house is a subgenre of house music that originated in the 1980s, initially fusing elements of Chicago house with the lush chords of 1980s jazz-funk and touches of soul music. Its origins are attributed to the early recordings of Larry Heard (aka Mr. Fingers), including his influential track " Can You Feel It". Characteristics Deep house is known for tempos typically from 110 to 125 bpm, muted basslines, spacious use of percussion elements (typically using a Roland TR-909 drum machine), soft keyboard sounds (pads), use of advanced chord structures, ambient mixes, and soulful vocals. Torsten Stenzel (Composer & Producer)
Torsten Stenzel is a German musician, songwriter, composer and producer. Classically trained from an early age his roots are within the field of Electronic Dance Music. His interest for music first started at age 5 when he received piano lessons by academic piano teacher Andre Terebesi. Age 13 Stenzel changed to church organ and received his church organist diploma age 15. Graduating from the Protestant church in Frankfurt. In 1990 he released his first single "Recall IV - Contrast" through Zyx Records. His partners failed to credit him as a writer/co-producer and because of his lack of knowledge of the music industry, only "mixed by Torsten Stenzel” appeared on the credits. In 1992 Stenzel became A & R-Manager for the underground record label "Crash Records". ''British Hit Singles & Albums'' (originally known as ''The Guinness Book of British Hit Singles'' and ''The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums'') was a music reference book originally published in the United Kingdom by the publishing arm of the Guinness breweries, Guinness Superlatives. Later editions were published by HiT Entertainment (who had bought the Guinness World Records brand). It listed all the singles and albums featured in the Top 75 pop charts in the UK.
