DGamer
DGamer (Disney Gamer) was an online game and social network service developed by Disney for use with Nintendo DS games. DGamer was accessible via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or computer via the DGamer Channel on Disney.com. The service was implemented by Fall Line Studios and Disney Interactive Studios. It launched in North America on May 15, 2008, coinciding with the release of the DS version of '' The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian''. DGamer's Wi-Fi connections were retired on March 15, 2013. It can still be used via local wireless connections, but is no longer able to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service. Fall Line Studios was a start up studio, and a division of Disney Interactive Studios. It was based in Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S., and was the sister studio to Disney's Avalanche Software, also based in the city. Fall Line Studios was dedicated to releasing games based on Disney characters, television shows, and entertainment franchises exclusively for Nintendo consoles such as the Nintendo DS and Wii systems, in addition to original titles. The company also helped develop Disney's upcoming DGamer network. Fall Line Studios became defunct. ''Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force'' is a point-and-click adventure game for the Nintendo DS based on Disney's massively multiplayer online game ''Club Penguin''. It was released in North America on November 25, 2008, in Europe on March 13, 2009, and in Australia on April 16, 2009. In September 2009, a Collector's Edition was released which included upgrades to the game and extras. Gameplay ''Ultimate Band'' allows players to play guitar, drums, bass or be the front man or woman in a band (though vocals are not supported). The Wii version follows the fortunes of an upstart rock band, with the player building the career of their customizable character, unlocking bonus songs, venues and accessories. ''Ultimate Band'' forgoes the use of specialized peripherals such as guitar and drum controllers, relying mainly on the Wii Remote and Nunchuk for the Wii version, and the touch screen and stylus for the DS version.
