DDT Tag League
The Ultimate Tag League is a professional wrestling round-robin tag team tournament held by DDT Pro-Wrestling. It was created in 2000 as the and was renamed in 2001. In 2021, the tournament was brought back 16 years after the previous edition under its current name. The Ultimate Tag League is held under a points system, with 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss. From 2000 to 2003, wins by pinfall, submission or knockout were awarded 3 points and wins via countout or disqualification were only worth 2 points. Number of entrants and formats have changed over the years, with up to three blocks of participants and the occasional inclusion of semifinals. Matches in the DDT/KO-D Tag League had a 20-minute time limit. The Ultimate Tag League matches have a 30-minute time limit. Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. Professional wrestling as a form of theater evolved out of the widespread practice of match fixing among wrestlers in the early 20th century. Konosuke Takeshita
is a Japanese professional wrestler currently signed to both All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in the United States and DDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT) in Japan. Takeshita was named the Rookie of the Year by '' Tokyo Sports'' in 2013 and is the youngest KO-D Openweight Champion in history, having won the title on his 21st birthday. Kota Ibushi
is a Japanese professional wrestler and martial artist signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), but is currently inactive due to suffering a shoulder injury. In March 2021, he became the company's inaugural IWGP World Heavyweight Champion by unifying the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, the company's previous top title, with the IWGP Intercontinental Championship, therefore also becoming the final holder of both. Kudo (wrestler)
is a Japanese professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Kudo (stylized in all capital letters). Signed to the DDT Pro-Wrestling promotion, he is currently in his seventh reign as one third of the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions, while also being a former four-time KO-D Openweight Champion, four-time KO-D Tag Team Champion and the winner of the 2005 and 2011 King of DDT tournaments. Harashima (stylised in all capital letters) (born July 6, 1974) is a Japanese professional wrestler. He is best known for his work in DDT Pro-Wrestling (formally Dramatic Dream Team), where he is a ten-time KO-D Openweight Champion and a current eleven-time KO-D Tag Team Champion.
