D400 Road
D400 is a state road connecting D66 and D21 state roads to Pula city centre and Pula ferry port. The road is only long. Urban planning documents of the city of Pula, indicate that the road may be expanded from its current two traffic lanes to four. The road, as well as all other state roads in Croatia, is managed and maintained by Hrvatske ceste, state owned company. No car ferries operate from Pula ferry port. Traffic volume There are no official published data on volume of traffic carried by the D400 road, however, the volume may be inferred from traffic volumes on the southernmost traffic counting sites of the state roads terminating at the D400 route, namely D21 and D66. Annual average daily traffic, abbreviated AADT, is a measure used primarily in transportation planning, transportation engineering and retail location selection. Bale (town)
Bale ( it, Valle, italic=no, previously ''Valle d'Istria;'' ) is a settlement and municipality in Istria County, Croatia. The origins of the settlement lie in the Roman stronghold of Castrum Vallis, built by Caius Palcrus to protect the salt-pan road from Pula to Poreč. The municipality covers a total area of and has a total population of 1,127. The municipality is officially bilingual, Croatian and Italian, hence both names are official and equal. Labin (Italian/Istriot: Albona) is a town in Istria, west Croatia, with a town population of 5,806 (2021) and 10,424 in the greater municipality (which also includes the small towns of Rabac and Vinež, as well as a number of smaller villages). Pula Airport ( hr, Zračna luka Pula; it, Aeroporto di Pola; ) is the international airport serving Pula, Croatia, and is located 6 km from the city centre. It served 777,568 passengers in 2019. The airport is designated as the alternative airport for parts of Slovenia and a multitude of cities in eastern Italy. D66 is a state road in Croatia, connecting A9 motorway with D8 state road in Matulji. D66 road serves as a connection to a number of towns and resorts along the eastern coast of Istria peninsula, including Opatija, Lovran and Ičići, as well as to Brestova ferry port, from which Jadrolinija ferries fly to island of Cres ( D100). The northern terminus of the road also provides a link towards Rijeka via D8 state road and to Matulji interchange on A8 motorway. The road is 90.1 km long.
