D. V. S. Raju
Datla Venkata Suryanarayana Raju, better known as D. V. S. Raju (13 December 1928 – 13 November 2010) was an Cinema of India, Indian film producer known for his works in Telugu Cinema and Bollywood. He was instrumental in shifting the Telugu film industry from Chennai to Hyderabad. He was the recipient of the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award, the Bhishma Award and the Padma Shri for his contributions to Indian cinema. He served as Jury Member at the 15th National Film Awards & Chairperson at 46th National Film Awards. He was the Chairman of National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) and President of the Film Federation of India (1979–80). As NFDC Chairman, he was instrumental in co-funding the making of Richard Attenborough's Oscar-award winning film Gandhi (film), Gandhi. He had also served as Chairman of the State Film Development Corporation. He died on 13 November 2010 (Saturday) at the age of 82 years after brief illness. ''Pigudu Ramudu'' () is a 1966 Indian Telugu-language swashbuckling fantasy film directed by B. Vittalacharya. It stars N. T. Rama Rao and Rajasree, with music composed by T. V. Raju. Plot Once upon a time, a Kingdom was ruled by an innocent Prataparudra (Relangi), the entire administration is taken care of his brother-in-law Gajendra (Rajanala), who behaves as a cruel dictator. Pralaya ( sa, प्रलय, , Apocalypse or the Annihilation of the Universe, translit=Pralaya) is a concept in Hindu eschatology. Jeevitha Nouka
''Jeevitha Nouka'' () is a 1951 Malayalam-language film directed by K. Vembu and jointly produced by K. V. Koshi and Kunchako. It was the first "blockbuster cinema" in Malayalam cinema, with a theatrical run of 284 days. Made at a budget of 20000, this cinema did extremely well at the box office, such that very few cinemas could surpass it later. It was simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu, and was dubbed and released in Hindi. This cinema portrayed the life of simple folk in a small village in Kerala. It stars Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair and B. S. Saroja, with the latter making her debut and the former in his first major role. Its music is composed by V. Dakshinamoorthy and popular playback singer Mehboob debuted through this cinema. It is a remake of the Hindi cinema ''Jeevan Naiya'' with revised screenplay. ''Jeevana Jyothi'' (Telugu: జీవన జ్యోతి) is a 1975 Telugu film directed by K. Viswanath. It stars Vanisri in a double role as mother and daughter. Sobhan Babu is the leading man. This film won major awards especially in Filmfare Awards South and also won two Nandi Awards. The director K. Viswanath later remade the film in Hindi as '' Sanjog'' (1985), with Jaya Prada and Jeetendra. The film was also remade in Kannada as ''Balina Jyothi'', with Vishnu Vardhan.
