D. J. LeRoy
D. J. LeRoy (born February 24, 1957) is a former American football coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point from 1982 to 1987 and at Coe College from 1989 to 1999. LeRoy's 1987 Wisconsin–Stevens Point Pointers football team, 1987 Wisconsin–Stevens Point team won a share of the NAIA Division II Football National Championship after tying 1987 Pacific Lutheran Lutes football team, Pacific Lutheran in the title game. When it came to light the following spring that Wisconsin–Stevens Point had used ineligible players that season, the school forfeited its share of the national title and dismissed LeRoy from his position. A native of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, LeRoy played college football as a running back at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, from which he graduated in 1979. The ''Wausau Daily Herald'' is a daily morning broadsheet printed in Wausau, Wisconsin. It is the primary newspaper in Wausau and is distributed throughout Marathon and Lincoln counties. In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. Bemidji State University (BSU) is a public university in Bemidji, Minnesota. Founded as a preparatory institution for teachers in 1919, it provides higher education to north-central Minnesota.
