Weddington is a suburban town in Union County, North Carolina, United States. A small portion of the town extends into Mecklenburg County. The population was 9,459 at the 2010 census. Union County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 238,267. Its county seat is Monroe.
