D.I.E
''D.I.E.'' or Death Investigation Extension (Traditional Chinese: 古靈精探) is a TVB modern comedy-action series broadcast in March 2008. It stars Roger Kwok , Sonija Kwok , Kenneth Ma & Margie Tsang. TVB began filming '' D.I.E. Again'' ( 古靈精探B), the sequel, in November 2008. Synopsis In the police force, "Death Investigation Extension" or "D.I.E." was established to accommodate those who have been sent away by their supervisors. As everybody knows, members of the Extension are to investigate unsolved cold cases. Yue Chi-Long ( Roger Kwok), who has cracked a large number of difficult cases by extrasensory means, is assigned to the D.I.E. because his superiors find him strange for falling asleep constantly on the job. New appointee Ying Jing-Jing ( Sonija Kwok) is a good-looking girl but she takes an uncompromising stand over every case she deals with. Sonija Kwok Sin-nei (, born 22 July 1974) is a Hong Kong actress who worked with TVB from 1999 to 2015. Since 2015, she has been managed by GAIA Entertainment. Early life Kwok was born in Hong Kong and is of mixed three quarters Cantonese and one quarter English parentage. Kwok immigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from Hong Kong. She initially attended the University of British Columbia, but transferred to Simon Fraser University where she completed her BA major in Psychology. After obtaining her degree, Kwok joined Cathay Pacific as a flight attendant. Career After a short stint as a flight attendant, Kwok returned to Hong Kong in 1999 and competed in the 1999 Miss Hong Kong pageant. During the semi-final, she won the Miss Photogenic award making her a favourite to win Miss Hong Kong following the precedent since 1996. Derek Kok Jing-hung (, born 18 November 1964) is a Hong Kong actor who had worked for TVB from 1986 to 2015. He filmed over 70 dramas. He is specialised in action and Chinese Kung Fu performance. Career His career started when he entered the New Talent Singing Awards in 1985. Even though he only made it through to the semi-finals, his stage performance, including the acrobatics he demonstrated throughout his performance impressed the folks at TVB.
