"D.A.N.C.E." is the second single by Justice and the first from their album ''†''. It includes edited and extended versions of "D.A.N.C.E", a rougher mix in the style of their earlier releases, "B.E.A.T", and the track "Phantom" which was previously issued in limited quantities twice on 12" vinyl preceding the release of "D.A.N.C.E.". History and background According to the duo, they were huge Michael Jackson fans and decided to dedicate this song to him. The song recites numerous Michael Jackson songs including " P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)", " Black or White", " Workin' Day and Night" and " Whatever Happens" along with The Jackson 5 song " ABC" and Michael Jackson's album '' Music and Me''. The verses of "D.A.N.C.E." contain an interpolation of the coda of Britney Spears's song "Me Against the Music". Vocals are provided by the London-based Foundation for Young Musicians choir. ''Cross'' (stylized as ''†''; titled ''Justice'' on digital platforms) is the debut studio album by French electronic music duo Justice. It was first released digitally on 11 June 2007, and later on 18 June through Ed Banger Records and Because Music in most countries and Vice Records in the United States. Recorded during 2005 and 2006 in Paris, ''Cross'' was composed as an "opera-disco" album. It features many samples and "microsamples" throughout, with about 400 albums being used as sampled material. Justice is a French electronic music duo consisting of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. The duo's label is Ed Banger Records, managed by Pedro Winter. Justice is known for incorporating a strong rock influence into their music and image. The band's debut album ''Cross'' was released in June 2007 to critical acclaim. The album was later nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album and came in at number 15 on Pitchfork's ''Top 50 Albums of 2007'' and number 18 on Blender's "25 Best Albums of 2007" list. Bertrand Lagros de Langeron, known professionally as So Me, is a French graphic designer, animator, director and music producer. He is the art director for Ed Banger Records and also releases his own tracks on that label. He has created videos for DJ Mehdi, Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Justice (band), Justice, and MGMT. He won the 2005 MTV European award for his video for the Justice vs. Simian song "We Are Your Friends". He is also the main designer for the clothing company Club 75. In 2010 Bertrand directed the music video for Duck Sauce's song "Barbra Streisand" and also makes a cameo in the video. "We Are Your Friends" is a song credited to Justice vs. Simian, and is French duo Justice's remix of the track "Never Be Alone" by Simian. It was released as a single in 2006. The 2015 film '' We Are Your Friends'' took its title from the song.
