D'Autray is a regional county municipality in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, Canada. Its seat is Berthierville. The municipality has a land area of 1,249.30 km2 and its population was 42,189 inhabitants as of the 2016 Census. Its largest community is the city of Lavaltrie. Lanoraie, Quebec
Lanoraie is a town in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, Canada, part of the D'Autray Regional County Municipality. History When Jacques Cartier passed through in the 16th century, the Iroquois had already established themselves in the area, calling it ''Agochanda'' or ''Agouchonda'', meaning "place where one stops to eat and rest". It was also in this area in 1642 that Isaac Jogues was abducted by the Mohawks along with Guillaume Couture and René Goupil, and taken into captivity and tortured. In 1672, the Intendant of New France Jean Talon granted the territory as a seignory to Louis de Niort de La Noraye (1639-1708). In 1688, the Seignory of La Noraye (also spelled as: Lanauraie, Lanoraie, Noraye) was united with the Autray Seignory, granted in 1637 to Jean Bourdon who passed it on to his son Jacques Bourdon d'Autray in 1653. Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola is a municipality in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, Canada, part of the D'Autray Regional County Municipality. Its territory is located on 33 of the Sorel Islands in the Saint Lawrence River where it flows into Lac Saint-Pierre, the largest of which are ''île Madame'', ''île aux Ours'', and ''La Grande Île''. History In 1895, the Parish of Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola was formed, and named in honour of the founder of the Jesuits, Ignatius López de Loyola (1491-1556). La Visitation-de-l'Île-Dupas, Quebec
La Visitation-de-l'Île-Dupas is a municipality in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, Canada, part of the D'Autray Regional County Municipality. Its territory is located on several of the Sorel Islands in the Saint Lawrence River where it flows into Lac Saint-Pierre. The largest of these islands is Dupas Island (''Île Dupas''), also known as ''Isle du Pads'' (or ''Isle du Pas''), ''Île d'Angoulème'', and ''Île du Richelieu'' at various times in the past. The area is known for its geese, ducks, and muskrats, and it is suitable for farming, hunting and fishing. Saint-Gabriel () is a town in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, Canada, part of the D'Autray Regional County Municipality. It is located on the shores of Lake Maskinongé, in the shadows of the Laurentian Mountains. Mandeville is a municipality in the D'Autray Regional County Municipality in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, Canada. Topography Prior to June 2, 2001, it was officially known as Saint-Charles-de-Mandeville. The town itself is located along the Mastigouche River, just north of Lake Maskinongé.
