D. V. Subba Reddy
Danda Venkata Subba Reddy (1899–1987) was a professor of medicine in India, and a pioneer of the medical history of South Asia. Subba Reddy was the founder of thNational Institute of Indian Medical Heritage in Hyderabad an institution first envisioned by Henry Sigerist in the 1940s. He was principal of Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad between 4 May 1957 and 29 January 1959. He wrote many pioneering articles on Indian medical history, and the book ''Glimpses Of Health And Medicine In Mauryan Empire'' (1966). Gandhi Medical College
Gandhi Medical College (founded 14 September 1954) is a medical college in Hyderabad, India affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences. The college was originally affiliated to NTR University of Health Sciences. History Gandhi Medical College, originally named People's Medical College, was founded on 14 September 1954. It was located at Humayun nagar close to the present-day Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital. It was opened because the original medical college in the area, Osmania Medical College, was unable to keep up with the demands for physicians in the State. Dr. Syed Nizamuddin Ahmed was the first principal and the founder of the college. Officially it was inaugurated on 25 June 1955 by the first president of India, Rajendra Prasad. Telugu People
Telugu people ( te, తెలుగువారు, Teluguvāru), or Telugus, or Telugu vaaru, are the largest of the four major Dravidian ethnolinguistic groups in terms of population. Telugus are native to the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and the Yanam district of Puducherry.
