Cédric Marszewski
Cédric Marszewski, also known as Pilooski, is a French DJ. After touring numerous places (mainly France and Europe) and producing in diverse styles of music ranging from drum and bass (Vendome.rec) to hip hop (Groove vibration). Pilooski has recorded as both an independent artist and with several record Labels. He is best known for remixes of songs from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Career Cédric Marszewski started music as a sound designer for the French national radio, Radio France. As a musician and producer he later joined, Guillaume Sorge and Clovis Goux in The D*I*R*T*Y collective (both were formerly working as journalists for French TV Canal+ amongst other things). Together they released music compilation (the Dirty edits series) and The Dirty Space Disco for French label Tigersushi and released the hit "Beggin" remix that was used in many worldwide television advertisements. Drum and bass (also written as drum & bass or drum'n'bass and commonly abbreviated as D&B, DnB, or D'n'B) is a genre of electronic dance music characterized by fast breakbeats (typically 165–185 beats per minute) with heavy bass and sub-bass lines, samples, and synthesizers. The genre grew out of the UK's rave scene in the 1990s. The popularity of drum and bass at its commercial peak ran parallel to several other UK dance styles. A major influence was the original Jamaican dub and reggae sound that influenced jungle's bass-heavy sound. Another feature of the style is the complex syncopation of the drum tracks' breakbeat. Francesco Stephen Castelluccio (born May 3, 1934), better known by his stage name Frankie Valli, is an American singer, known as the frontman of the Four Seasons beginning in 1960. He is known for his unusually powerful lead falsetto voice. Valli scored 29 top 40 hits with the Four Seasons, one top 40 hit under the Four Seasons alias the Wonder Who?, and nine top 40 hits as a solo artist. As a member of the Four Seasons, Valli's number-one hits include "Sherry" (1962), "Big Girls Don't Cry" (1962), " Walk Like a Man" (1963), " Rag Doll" (1964) and "December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" (1975). Valli's recording of the song "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" reached number two in 1967. As a solo artist, Valli scored number-one hits with the songs "My Eyes Adored You" (1974) and " Grease" (1978). Doris Jean Harrell (June 19, 1945 – January 25, 2006), who recorded professionally under the name Dee Edwards, was an American singer. Biography Edwards was married to the arranger Floyd Jones, and they collaborated on some songs that Guido Marasco released on his GM and Bumpshop record labels in 1970, releasing "Say It Again With Feeling". After one RCA single in 1972, Jones followed up with the song for the De-To label, "I Can Deal With That", which was the last of Edwards' Detroit recording sessions. Jarvis Branson Cocker (born 19 September 1963) is an English musician and radio presenter. As the founder, frontman, lyricist and only consistent member of the band Pulp, he became a figurehead of the Britpop genre of the mid-1990s. Pulp (band)
Pulp are an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 1978. Their best-known line-up from their heyday (1992–1997) consisted of Jarvis Cocker (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Russell Senior (guitar, violin), Candida Doyle (keyboards), Nick Banks (drums, percussion), Steve Mackey (bass) and Mark Webber (guitar, keyboards).
