The Czech Extraliga is the name of the professional handball league of Czech Republic. Competition Format The season begins with a regular season between the twelve teams. The first eight teams qualifies for the play-offs, while the last four plays a relegation round. Frýdek-Místek
Frýdek-Místek (, pl, Frydek-Mistek; german: Friede(c)k-Mistek) is a city in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 54,000 inhabitants. The historic centres of both Frýdek and Místek are well preserved and are protected by law as two urban monument zones. NHV Eredivisie
The Nederlandse Handbal Eredivisie is the top Netherlands, Dutch professional Team handball, handball league. The winners of the Eredivisie are recognised as the Dutch handball champions. Competition Format In the first phase of the season, the top 6 teams of the previous season participate in the BeNe League, BENE-League competition. They are joined by the top 6 teams from Belgium. At the same time, the remaining 12 teams, participate in a national competition. In the second phase, the 4 best ranking Dutch teams of the BENE-League, who automatically qualified for next season's BENE-League, compete in a 2-round system for the national title. The first round is a full competition among those 4. In the second round the 2 teams which ended on top, decide in a best-of-three who wins the title. Jičín
Jičín (; german: Jitschin or ''Gitschin'') is a town in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 16,000 inhabitants. HC Dukla Prague ( cs, HC Dukla Praha) is a handball club from Prague, Czech Republic, that plays in the Chance Extraliga. History Originally it was a part of a Czechoslovak army sports club supporting several different sports teams, including football, which was founded in 1948 as ATK Praha and later renamed Dukla Prague. The handball team of Dukla Praha was the most successful Czechoslovak handball team. They won the Czechoslovak handball league 28 times, and the Czech handball championship three times after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. Zubří (Vsetín District)
Zubří () is a town in Vsetín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 5,500 inhabitants. Etymology The name is derived from ''zubr'', i.e. European bison. They lived here at the time when Zubří was founded. Geography Zubří is located in the valley of the Rožnovská Bečva river. Handball Club Zubří or HC ROBE Zubří is a Czech handball club based in Zubří, Czech Republic. History The club was founded in 1926. In 1957 Hc Zubří played the first international match, lost 15:17 against ASK Vorwärts Berlin. Club advanced to the second league in 1958 and in 1960 Czech Handball Extraliga.
