Cut, Alba
Cut (german: Kokt, Quellendorf; hu, Kútfalva) is a commune located in the southeastern part of Alba County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of a single village, Cut. The commune is situated on the Secașelor Plateau, about southeast of Sebeș and northwest of Miercurea Sibiului. Cut was first attested in 1291, under the name ''terra Kut.'' The commune has a railway station that serves the CFR Line 200. According to the census from 2011 there was a total population of 1,075 people living in this commune, of which 97.3% are ethnic Romanians and 1.58% are ethnic Romani. Cut, Copy, And Paste
In human–computer interaction and user interface design, cut, copy, and paste are related commands that offer an interprocess communication technique for transferring data through a computer's user interface. The ''cut'' command removes the selected data from its original position, while the ''copy'' command creates a duplicate; in both cases the selected data is kept in temporary storage (the clipboard). The data from the clipboard is later inserted wherever a ''paste'' command is issued. The data remains available to any application supporting the feature, thus allowing easy data transfer between applications. The command names are an interface metaphor based on the physical procedure used in manuscript editing to create a page layout. ''Cut'' is a British advertising campaign launched in 2009 by the charitable organisation Women's Aid to promote awareness of domestic violence. The campaign was created by advertising agency Grey London, and centres on a 120-second commercial starring Keira Knightley. The commercial was supported by poster and online components. In the post-production process of film editing and video editing, a cut is an abrupt, but usually trivial film transition from one sequence to another. It is synonymous with the term ''edit'', though "edit" can imply any number of transitions or effects. The cut, dissolve and wipe serve as the three primary transitions. The term refers to the physical action of cutting film or videotape, but also refers to a similar edit performed in software; it has also become associated with the resulting visual "break". History Due to the short length of early film stock, splicing was necessary to join together segments into long-form. Actuality directors spliced together reels prior to shooting to record for longer periods of time.
