Curtius (beer)
Curtius is a Belgian beer brewed at the C Brewery, Microbrewery of the Principality, in Liège, Belgium. Its logo is the letter C between two braces. Characteristics It is a lager with an alcohol content of 7% brewed from high-quality ingredients, with a light and refreshing taste. The brew contains the malt of both barley and wheat. Its body is refreshingly light while the aromatic hop blend gives it a subtle bitter taste with flowery and fruity notes. Best served between 6 °C and 8 °C, while avoiding to pour the beer at the bottom of the bottle. It is available in bottles (37.5 cl) and kegs. History Renaud Pirotte and François Dethier decided to create a Liège beer during their agri-food studies. Lager
Lager () is beer which has been brewed and conditioned at low temperature. Lagers can be pale, amber, or dark. Pale lager is the most widely consumed and commercially available style of beer. The term "lager" comes from the German for "storage", as the beer was stored before drinking, traditionally in the same cool caves in which it was fermented. As well as maturation in cold storage, most lagers are distinguished by the use of ''Saccharomyces pastorianus'', a "bottom-fermenting" yeast that ferments at relatively cold temperatures. Montagne De Bueren
Montagne de Bueren is a 374-step staircase in Liège, Belgium. The staircase is named after Vincent de Bueren, who defended Liège against an attack by the Duke of Burgundy, Charles the Bold in the 15th century.
