Curtis Enis
Curtis Thomas Enis (born June 15, 1976) is a former American college and professional American football, football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for three seasons. He played college football for Penn State University, and earned All-American honors. Enis was a first-round pick in the 1998 NFL Draft, and played professionally for the NFL's Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns. He was also a key player in Midway’s 1998 NFL Blitz, often regarded as the best player in the game, rarely fumbling when using the spin move. Early years Enis was born in Union City, Ohio. He attended Mississinawa Valley High School in Union City, where he was named a ''Parade (magazine), Parade'' magazine high school All-American, and voted Ohio's Mr. Football Award (Ohio), Mr. Football Award by the Associated Press. NFL Blitz
''NFL Blitz'' is a series of American football themed video games originally released by Midway featuring National Football League (NFL) teams. It began as a 1997 arcade game ''NFL Blitz'' that was ported to home consoles and spawned a series of sequels. Rather than being designed as a realistic interpretation of the sport of football, like ''Madden NFL'' or ''NFL 2K'', the ''Blitz'' series was created as an over-the-top, exaggerated version of the sport, inspired by Midway's own ''NBA Jam'' basketball games. In 2005, after losing the NFL license, Midway relaunched the ''Blitz'' series as '' Blitz: The League'', depicting fictional players and teams in a fictional league with slightly more realistic (though still exaggerated) on-field play and a focus on the seedy behind-the-scenes lives of the players. Bradford, Ohio
Bradford is a village in Darke and Miami counties in the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 1,842 at the 2010 census. The Miami County portion of Bradford is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area, while the Darke County portion is part of the Greenville Micropolitan Statistical Area. Railroad origins Bradford was platted in 1865 entirely within Darke County, and it incorporated in 1871. The village was named for Tom Bradford, a railroad official. Its population was recorded at 243 by the 1870 Census. By 1890, the community had grown to 1,338 residents, the majority of whom lived in Miami County. Its growth was due to its location on the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad. James Allen (running Back)
James Allen (born March 28, 1975) is a former American football running back in the National Football League. He played college football for Oklahoma. College career Allen attended the University of Oklahoma starting in 1993, and was a true freshman for the Sooners, such as rushing for 102 yards against the Texas Longhorns in a 38–17 victory. He would finish his freshman year with 788 yards rushing and one touchdown. The following year, Allen was stopped at the goal line in a loss to the Longhorns, and was later replaced by De'mond Parker in 1996, though Allen would score the game-winning touchdown that season against the Longhorns, giving the 3–8 Sooners the 30–27 win. Joseph Vincent Paterno (; December 21, 1926 – January 22, 2012), sometimes referred to as JoePa, was an American college football player, athletic director, and coach. He was the head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions football, Penn State Nittany Lions from 1966 to 2011. Saltsburg is a borough in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, United States. Its location is in western Pennsylvania, in the southwestern corner of Indiana County near its border with Westmoreland County. The town was based on the construction of salt wells and the canals and railroad tracks that passed through it. Its population was 780 at the 2020 census. Big 33 Football Classic
The Big 33 Football Classic is an all-star American football game featuring the top high-school football players in Pennsylvania. Played since 1957, the game is often described as the "Super Bowl of High School Football." Contests currently pit players from Pennsylvania against players from Maryland, but opponents in the past have also included players from Ohio and Texas. Recent games have been held at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania. While the game was originally played with the best 33 players in each state (hence its name), the organizers added a 34th player to give kickers a chance to be separate of the 33 count as to give one more non-kicker a chance to be named to the Big 33. Thus, there are 34 players from each state who are invited to play in this game on the original roster. In team sports, a most valuable player award, abbreviated 'MVP award', is an honor typically bestowed upon an individual (or individuals, in the instance of a tie) whose individual performance is the greatest in an entire league, for a particular competition, or on a specific team.
