Hugo Del Carril
Pierre Bruno Hugo Fontana, otherwise known as Hugo del Carril (30 November 1912 – 13 August 1989 in Buenos Aires), was an Argentine film actor, film director and tango singer of the classic era. Early life Born in Buenos Aires, del Carril was the son of parents of a rich economic position, his mother Orsolina Bertani was born in Argentina (daughter of the Italian Anarchist Orsini Bertani), but his father Hugo Fontana was an Italian architect, born in Milan. But in spite of the comforts and the comfortable life they led, his parents separated and young Hugo was left in the charge of a family friend. Career Del Carril originally began as a popular personality on Argentine radio, and parlayed that into a film career that began in late 1936. He was an immediate hit, and developed into one of Argentina's major film stars. María Aurelia Bisutti (June 20, 1930 – April 12, 2010) was an Argentine film and TV actress, with over 50 Argentine cinema and television credits between 1948 and 1993, as well as numerous roles in the theatre. Biography Born in Buenos Aires, she received her first film roles in 1948 through a radio audition hosted by a popular variety show of the time, ''Diario del cine'', and first worked with directors Benito Perojo and Carlos Schlieper. Bisutti earned her first television role in a 1960 documentary on the lives of Paul Gauguin and Edgar Degas. She was given the lead role in Pedro Escudero's '' A puerta cerrada'' (1962), and starred in period piece filmmaker Leopoldo Torre Nilsson's ''Martín Fierro'' (1968). Bisutti also became well known on the radio, starring in a number of soap operas. She received a Martín Fierro Award for lifetime achievement in 1999. Roberto Escalada born Aldo Roberto Leggero (4 July 1914 – 5 December 1986 in Buenos Aires) was an Argentine actor, an icon of the classic era of Argentine cinema. Roberto Escalada began his career working on the radio, and it was his voice that caught the attention of producers. On meeting him, film producers, pleased by his physical appearance, immediately put him in as a member of different movie casts. One of his more acclaimed films of the 1940s was ''Los Pulpos'' (''The Octopuses''), a film directed by Carlos Hugo Christensen. In 1950, Escalada played the central role in ''Mr Oribe's Crime'', based on Bioy Casares' short novel.
