RogĂ©rio Tolomei Teixeira (born September 2, 1956), better known by his stage name RogĂ©rio Skylab, is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, lyricist, classical guitarist, poet, essayist, record producer, actor and former television presenter. His unique musical style is characterized by minimalism and eclecticism, and his lyrics are permeated by acerbic allusions to popular culture, pessimism, scatology, nihilism and black comedy (he has, however, always denied that his songs have humorous purposes). Sampling (music)
In sound and music, sampling is the reuse of a portion (or sample) of a sound recording in another recording. Samples may comprise elements such as rhythm, melody, speech, sounds or entire bars of music, and may be layered, equalized, sped up or slowed down, repitched, looped, or otherwise manipulated. They are usually integrated using hardware ( samplers) or software such as digital audio workstations. A process similar to sampling originated in the 1940s with '' musique concrète'', experimental music created by splicing and looping tape. The mid-20th century saw the introduction of keyboard instruments that played sounds recorded on tape, such as the Mellotron. Marchinha
Marchinha (, also called "marchinha de carnaval", "marchinha carnavalesca" or "marcha carnavalesca) is one of several genres of music typical of Brazilian Carnival in Rio de Janeiro and Southeast Region of Brazil. The other main carnival genres are: samba-enredo, frevo, maracatu and Axé music. Marchinha is an extremely comic genre of music and the very name "marchinha" (little march) satirizes the seriousness of military marches, in both the musical and step senses, which are involved in the generalised satirization of the society that occurs during the carnival, for example the election of Rei Momo (King Momo, the king of carnival). Caetano Emanuel Viana Teles Veloso (; born 7 August 1942) is a Brazilian composer, singer, guitarist, writer, and political activist. Paulo Miranda Nascimento (born August 14, 1981), also known as Pirula or Pirulla, is a Brazilian paleontologist, YouTuber, zoologist, lecturer and a scientific disseminator. Pirula is a bachelor of Biology by Mackenzie Presbyterian University and, he is master and PhD in Zoology by University of São Paulo. His PhD thesis is named "Revision of the Baurusuchidae family and its phylogenetic affinities within Mesoeucrocodylia". ''Rogério Skylab & Orquestra Zé Felipe'' ( Portuguese for "''Rogério Skylab & the Zé Felipe Orchestra''") is a collaborative album between Brazilian musicians Rogério Skylab and Zé Felipe, a former bassist of now-defunct experimental rock act Zumbi do Mato. Self-released in 2009, it is the second collaboration between Skylab and Felipe (the first being Skylab's 2007 release '' Skylab VII'', in which Felipe co-authored a handful of songs). Originally intended as a full-fledged collaboration between Skylab and Zumbi do Mato, after a series of creative divergences only Zé Felipe remained as collaborator.
