Crystal Peaks
Crystal Peaks is a shopping centre and retail park in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Established in 1988, the centre attracts around 11 million visitors a year. Facilities Crystal Peaks Shopping Mall has approximately of retail space with a range of High Street stores, including Next, Poundland, Boots, New Look, Marks and Spencer. The Centre has an indoor market operated by Sheffield City Council, a medical centre, veterinary surgery and a range of other facilities and services.The centre also has a Sainsbury's supermarket which now includes an Argos. The lower Ground floor contains many food outlets including a McDonald's and a Costa The retail park is located within walking distance, and hosts brands such as TK Maxx,and Boots, as well as two catering units and a gym. Aughton, South Yorkshire
Aughton is a village near Rotherham in South Yorkshire, England, located in the civil parish of Aston cum Aughton, south of Rotherham. The village setting is rural, being surrounded by fields. The nearest settlements are Guilthwaite in the north, Ulley in the east, Aston in the southeast, Swallownest in the south, and Treeton in the northwest. Major roads are A618 running north–south and B6067 running northwest–southeast which cross in the northern part of the village and share a common alignment along the northern of Main Street. Aughton was mentioned in 1066 in the Domesday Book as belonging to three Anglo-Saxon lords. By 1086, it had passed to Richard of Sourdeval, whose tenant-in-chief was Count Robert of Mortain. Swallownest is a village in the civil parish of Aston cum Aughton and the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. The village is south of Rotherham and from Sheffield. Swallownest borders the Sheffield suburb of Woodhouse, South Yorkshire, Woodhouse to the west, Beighton, Sheffield, Beighton to the southwest, the small village of Aston, South Yorkshire, Aston to the east, and Aughton, South Yorkshire, Aughton to the north. Aston is a residential village in the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. The village falls within the Holderness ward of the borough. Aston is approximately from Rother Valley Country Park. History Aston was traditionally a farming village and some old farm buildings still line the main road. In the early 20th century the population increased because of the opening of coal mines in the area. It joined local villages Aughton and Swallownest, to form the Aston cum Aughton civil parish. Rotherham Interchange
Rotherham Interchange is a bus station serving the town of Rotherham, South Yorkshire. It consists of 24 bus stands located inside the main Interchange building in Rotherham town centre, next to the College Walk shopping centre which leads out onto Frederick Street. It is the main hub for bus services in the Rotherham area, and is located a short walk over the Chantry Bridge over the River Don from Rotherham Central station on the National Rail and Sheffield Supertram networks. On 15 May 2016 the Interchange suffered major damage after a Stagecoach bus caught fire inside the building in a suspected arson attack. The bus station was closed for several days before reopening after temporary repairs were made. On 29 April 2018, the bus station was closed for more permanent repairs and a full refurbishment costing £12 million; it reopened on 3 March 2019. TM Travel
TM Travel is a bus operator based in Halfway, Sheffield, operating bus services in South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. Founded in 1995 as a family-owned operation with one bus, by March 2008 it had expanded to become the largest independent operator in Derbyshire. The company was taken over by the Wellglade Group in January 2010. History TM Travel was founded in November 1995 by former Hulleys of Baslow employee Tim Watts. Their first vehicle was a Leyland Tiger coach used on coach hire operations from a depot near Chesterfield. Two similar vehicles were added to the fleet in early 1996. Two school bus services were taken on in the same year and the fleet expanded to ten vehicles. In 1997 vehicles maintenance work was taken in-house by the company, and work on National Express services was introduced. First South Yorkshire is a major bus operator providing bus services within and across South Yorkshire. It is a subsidiary of FirstGroup. History In 1989, South Yorkshire Transport introduced the ''Mainline'' brand on certain bus routes around South Yorkshire. Buses operated with ''Sheffield Mainline'' names in a bright red and yellow livery, replacing the previous "coffee and cream" livery. It was followed by ''Doncaster Mainline'' in a silver grey and red livery relieved by a light yellow band and finally ''Rotherham Mainline'', whose buses were painted blue and yellow. The Sheffield Supertram is a tram and tram-train network covering Sheffield and Rotherham in South Yorkshire, England. The infrastructure is owned by the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE), with Stagecoach responsible for the operation and maintenance of rolling stock under a concession until 2024, under the brand name Stagecoach Supertram. Interest in building a modern tram system for Sheffield had mounted during the 1980s. After detailed planning by SYPTE, the Supertram proposal was approved by Act of Parliament#United Kingdom Parliament, Act of Parliament in 1991.
