Crying (band)
Crying is an American rock band from Purchase, New York formed in 2013. They consist of Elaiza Santos (vocals), Ryan Galloway (guitars, keyboards) and Kynwyn Sterling (drums). They have released two EPs and released their debut album ''Beyond the Fleeting Gales'' in October 2016. History Crying was formed in May 2013 at State University of New York at Purchase. The band was formed by Elaiza Santos (Vocals), Ryan Galloway (Guitars/Programming), and Nick Corbo (Drums). In 2013, the group released their debut EP ''Get Olde'' via Double Double Whammy. The band later released a remix EP of ''Get Olde'' with additional new tracks and b-sides titled ''Return to Olde World: Demos and B-Sides.'' In 2014 Crying released their second EP, ''Second Wind'' via Bandcamp. The band then signed to Run for Cover Records and reissued their first two EPs in a compilation, Get Olde/Second Wind. Purchase, New York
Purchase is a hamlet in the town and village of Harrison, in Westchester County, New York, United States. One myth explains that its name is derived from Harrison's purchase, where John Harrison was to be granted as much land as he could ride in one day. Purchase is home to State University of New York at Purchase and Manhattanville College. History In 1967, 200 residents stated support for a plan to incorporate Purchase so corporations could not build in the community. In response, officials from the Town of Harrison put forward plans to try to become a city in an attempt to stop Purchase from seceding from the Town of Harrison. There are many historic sites located in Purchase. The grave of Revolutionary War General Thomas Thomas is located on the grounds of SUNY Purchase. AllMusic (previously known as All-Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Japanese Breakfast
Japanese Breakfast is an indie pop band headed by Korean-American musician Michelle Zauner. Zauner started the band as a side project in 2013, when she was leading the Philadelphia-based emo group Little Big League. She has said that she named the band after seeing a GIF of Japanese breakfast and deciding that the term would be considered "exotic" to Americans; she also thought it would make others wonder what a Japanese breakfast consists of. In 2014, she returned to her hometown of Eugene, Oregon, to care for her ailing mother. She continued to record music and songs, first to cope with stress, then, after her mother died, with grief.
