Crvenka, Belgrade
Crvenka ( sr-cyr, Црвенка) is a suburban settlement of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in the Belgrade's municipality of Palilula and statistically is part of Borča. Location Crvenka is located in Banat section of the municipality, half kilometer away from the left bank of the Danube, on the ''Batin kanal'' stream. It is built in the thickly forested area and surrounded by marshes of Pančevački Rit so, even being close, it can't be seen from the opposite, Zemun bank and it is not near to any other settlements of Belgrade. History During the 18th century an Austrian sentry post was erected here and was named Crvenka (Serbian for ''red land'' or ''red place''). The settlement was built after the World War II. List Of Belgrade Neighbourhoods And Suburbs
Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia, is divided into seventeen municipalities, of which ten are urban and seven suburban. In this list, each neighbourhood or suburb is categorised by the municipality in which it is situated. Six of these ten urban municipalities are completely within the bounds of Belgrade City Proper, while the remaining four have both urban and suburban parts. The seven suburban municipalities, on the other hand, are completely located within suburban bounds. Pančevački Rit
Pančevački Rit ( sr-cyr, Панчевачки рит) is a small geographical area in south-western Banat, Serbia. It is situated between the rivers Danube and Tamiš, in Belgrade's municipality of Palilula. Features Its wetland was constantly flooded, but since World War II it has been drained part by part and almost half of it has been turned into a very fertile patch of land, suitable especially for cultivating grains and vegetables. It is managed by Serbia's largest agricultural company, " PKB Beograd", which almost exclusively provides food for 2 million people in the greater Belgrade area; thus Pančevački Rit is commonly nicknamed Granary of Belgrade. Stockbreeding is also very intensive, as are fishery and hunting. Belgrade Waterfront
Belgrade Waterfront, known in Serbian as Belgrade on Water ( sr, / ), is an urban renewal development project headed by the Government of Serbia aimed at improving Belgrade's cityscape and economy by revitalizing the Sava amphitheater, a neglected stretch of land on the right bank of the Sava river, between the Belgrade Fair and Branko's bridge. Pupin Bridge
The Pupin Bridge ( sr-cyr, Пупинов мост, Pupinov most) is a road bridge over the Danube River in Belgrade, Serbia. The bridge is located upstream of the city center and connects Belgrade neighbourhoods of Zemun and Borča. It is part of Semi-Inner Ring circle. Opened in December 2014, it became the second bridge over the Danube in Belgrade, after the Pančevo Bridge in 1946. Name Due to the origin of the investors, even before the construction began, the bridge was colloquially called "Chinese Bridge" ( sr, Кинески мост, ). During the construction, its tentative name was ''Zemun–Borča bridge'', but later it got named after Serbian scientist and inventor Mihajlo Pupin. Belgrade Bypass
The Belgrade bypass ( sr, Обилазница око Београда, Obilaznica oko Beograda) or Belgrade city road bypass is a U-shaped, 69-km long motorway partially encircling the city of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. Some 9.6 km of the bypass is the section of A1 motorway (currently under construction), and the rest is planned eastern extension of A3. The construction of the bypass started in 1990 and its parts have been sporadically built ever since. Its completion is expected to help alleviate Belgrade's traffic congestion, and remove all transit traffic from the city itself. New Belgrade ( sr, / , ) is a municipality of the city of Belgrade. It is a planned city, built since 1948 in a previously uninhabited area on the left bank of the Sava river, opposite old Belgrade. Bogoslovija ( sr-cyr, Богословија) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is mostly located in Belgrade's municipality of Palilula, with some parts belonging to the municipality of Zvezdara.
