Crockett Gillmore
Crockett Allen Gillmore (born November 16, 1991) is a former American football tight end. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Colorado State. High school Gillmore attended Bushland High School in Bushland, Texas, where he was teammates with Weston Richburg. Gillmore was selected to the first-team all-district for both positions at wide receiver and defensive end. He was named as the ''Amarillo Globe-News'' Offensive Player of the Year in high school. He was a 2009 all-state honorable-mention and was selected to the first-team all-district. He was selected as the Golden Spread 2A-3A Player of the Year during high school. Fort Crockett is a government reservation on Galveston Island overlooking the Gulf of Mexico originally built as a defense installation to protect the city and harbor of Galveston and to secure the entrance to Galveston Bay, thus protecting the commercial and industrial ports of Galveston and Houston and the extensive oil refineries in the bay area. The facility is now managed by the US NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service, and hosts the Bureau of Commercial Fisheries Laboratory, the Texas Institute of Oceanography, as well as some university facilities. Crockett Johnson (October 20, 1906 – July 11, 1975) was the pen name of the American cartoonist and children's book illustrator David Johnson Leisk. He is best known for the comic strip ''Barnaby'' (1942–1952) and the ''Harold'' series of books, beginning with ''Harold and the Purple Crayon''. From 1965 until his death Johnson created over a hundred paintings relating to mathematics and mathematical physics. Eighty of these are found in the collections of the National Museum of American History.
