David Crockett Early College High School is a Public school (government funded), public high school located in South Austin, Texas, Austin, Texas. The school opened in 1968 and is part of the Austin Independent School District (AISD). It was named after U.S. frontiersman Davy Crockett. Crockett High School, also known as the Crockett Vocational/Technical Center, was a senior high school operated during 1994-2012 by Detroit Public Schools and located in Detroit. Crockett occupied the former Burroughs Middle School. The building first opened in 1924. It received a $3.5 million bond investment prior to its 2012 closure. Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) is a school district that covers all of the city of Detroit, Michigan, United States and high school students in the insular city of Highland Park.
