Croatian Civic Party
Croatian Civic Party ( hr, Hrvatska građanska stranka or HGS) is a right-wing political party in Croatia. It was established in September 2009 by Željko Kerum, an entrepreneur and mayor of Split after he won the mayoral elections as an independent candidate. During his mayoral campaign he often criticized political parties. Between 2009–2013 it was the ruling party in the city of Split in coalition with the far-right Croatian Pure Party of Rights (HČSP). For the 2011 elections the party formed a pre-election coalition with the Croatian Democratic Union for the two Dalmatian constituencies and won 2 seats in the parliament for himself and his sister Nevenka Bečić. Željko Kerum
Željko Kerum (born 25 September 1960) is a Croatian entrepreneur and politician who served as Mayor of Split from 2009 to 2013. He also owned the supermarket chain '' Kerum'' until it folded in 2012. He won the election in 2009 and became the mayor, but failed to qualify for the second round of the election in 2013. In the 2017 election, Andro Krstulović Opara from the HDZ defeated him in the second round of voting. Early life Kerum was born in the village of Ogorje (part of Muć) in the Dalmatian hinterland. He graduated from the Technical High School in Split in 1978. In 1981 he got his first job in the Split construction company ''Melioracija'', spending a year in Iraq working on military bases. 2020 Croatian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Croatia on 5 July 2020. They were the tenth parliamentary elections since the first multi-party elections in 1990 and elected the 151 members of the Croatian Parliament. 140 Members of Parliament were elected from geographical electoral districts in Croatia, three MPs were chosen by the Croatian diaspora and eight MPs came from the ranks of citizens registered as belonging to any of the 22 constitutionally recognized national minorities. Nevenka Bečić
Nevenka Bečić (; born 5 March 1958) is a Croatian entrepreneur and politician. She was president of the Split city council from 2009 to 2013 and a member of the Croatian Parliament from 2011 to 2015.
