The Criș Collector Canal ( ro, Canalul Colector Criș) is the main canal of the drainage system of the area between the Crișul Repede and the Crișul Negru in Bihor County, western Romania. The lower reach of the canal is also known as Tămașda Collector Canal ( ro, Canalul Corector Tămașda). The canal starts from the Crișul Repede near the village of Tărian, 10 km west of Oradea, and flows into the Crișul Negru upstream of the village of Tămașda. Crișul Repede
The Crișul Repede (Romanian Crișul Repede ("the rapid Criș"); Hungarian Sebes-Körös) is a river in Bihor County, Crișana, Romania and in southeastern Hungary (Körösvidek). Together with the rivers Crișul Alb ("the white Criș") and Crișul Negru ("the black Criș"), it makes up the Three Criș rivers ("Cele Trei Crișuri"). These are considered the main rivers in the Crișana region of Romania. Canals or artificial waterways are waterways or engineered channels built for drainage management (e.g. flood control and irrigation) or for conveyancing water transport vehicles (e.g. water taxi). They carry free, calm surface flow under atmospheric pressure, and can be thought of as artificial rivers.
