Criterium Ciudad De Jaén
The Criterium Ciudad de Jaén (''City of Jaén Criterion''), also known as the Criterio Internacional de Navidad "Ciudad de Jaén" (''City of Jaén International Christmas Criterion''), was an unofficial road bicycle race held annually in Jaén, Spain. The Criterium Ciudad de Jaén was held on the last weekend of November, from 2007 to 2010, during the off-season for competitive events on the UCI World Tour circuit. The unofficial competition was created, and sponsored, by the City of Jaén Sports Council, the Province of Jaén Council of Sports, and the Regional Government of Andalusia Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Sport. Jaén () is the urban capital city of the province of Jaén, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. The city of Jaén is the administrative and industrial centre for the province. The UCI WorldTour (2009–2010: ''UCI World Ranking'') is the premier men's elite road cycling tour, sitting above the UCI ProSeries and various regional UCI Continental Circuits. Individual Time Trial
An individual time trial (ITT) is a road bicycle race in which cyclists race alone against the clock (in French: ''contre la montre'' – literally "against the watch", in Italian: ''tappa a cronometro'' "stopwatch stage"). There are also track-based time trials where riders compete in velodromes, and team time trials (TTT). ITTs are also referred to as "the race of truth", as winning depends only on each rider's strength and endurance, and not on help provided by teammates and others riding ahead and creating a slipstream. Luis Pérez Rodríguez (born 16 June 1974 in Torrelaguna, Spain) is retired road racing cyclist. He competed professionally between 1995 and 2007, and last rode for the Andalucía–CajaSur team. During his career, Pérez scored two stage wins in Grand Tour events, both in the Vuelta a España. During his last season with Andalucía–CajaSur, he scored a 1st Overall in the Clásica Internacional de Alcobendas, a three-day stage race. Pablo Lastras García (born 20 January 1976) is a Spanish former racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 1998 and 2015, entirely for the team and its later iterations. During his career, he recorded stage victories at the three Grand Tour (cycling), Grand Tours, winning five stages in total. He now works as a directeur sportif for the team.
