Cristian Bușoi
Cristian Silviu Bușoi (born March 1, 1978) is a Romanian physician and politician. A member of the National Liberal Party (PNL), he was a member of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies for Timiș County from 2004 to 2007, and was a Member of the European Parliament from 2007 to 2013, a position he regained in 2014. He currently chairs the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE). Education and early career Bușoi was born in Drobeta-Turnu Severin and, following secondary studies completed in 1997 at the city's Traian Theoretical College, in 2003 he graduated from the Medicine Faculty of the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest. The following December, he became a resident. In 2004, he also began work on two doctorates: one in Endocrinology at his alma mater, and one in Public Health and Health Management at the Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara. A Member of the European Parliament (MEP) is a person who has been elected to serve as a popular representative in the European Parliament. When the European Parliament (then known as the Common Assembly of the ECSC) first met in 1952, its members were directly appointed by the governments of member states from among those already sitting in their own national parliaments. Since 1979, however, MEPs have been elected by direct universal suffrage. Earlier European organizations that were a precursor to the European Union did not have MEPs. Adrian Cioroianu
Adrian Mihai Cioroianu (born January 5, 1967, Craiova, Romania) is a Romanian historian, politician, journalist, and essayist. A lecturer for the History Department at the University of Bucharest, he is the author of several books dealing with Romanian history (and specifically with the history of Communist Romania). He is also noted for his contribution as co-author of a high school textbook. A member of the Group for Social Dialogue, he joined the National Liberal Party (PNL) and was elected to the Romanian Senate for Timiș County in 2004. Following the accession of Romania to the European Union (January 1, 2007), he served as a Member of the European Parliament in the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) and a vice president of the ALDE group in the European Parliament. Military Service
Military service is service by an individual or group in an army or other militia, air forces, and naval forces, whether as a chosen job (volunteer) or as a result of an involuntary draft (conscription). Some nations (e.g., Mexico) require a specific amount of military service from every citizen, except for special cases, such as limitation determined by a military physical or religious belief. In the United States, a mental disorder does not necessarily disqualify a recruit so long as no treatment had been given within 36 months.
