The Alsco Uniforms 250 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. The race is one of two Xfinity Series races at Atlanta along with the Nalley Cars 250 in the spring. History The track had previously always held one Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity Series Nalley Cars 250, race, but in 2021, when the NASCAR Cup Series got a Quaker State 400 (Atlanta), second race at Atlanta for the first time since 2010, this Xfinity Series race was added to the schedule on the same weekend in July as the new Cup Series race. Credit Karma held the naming rights to the race that year. In 2022, Alsco replaced Credit Karma as the title sponsor. When the start times for all of NASCAR's events were announced, the 2023 event will become a Saturday night event to coincide with the track's second Cup race returning to a nighttime event. The NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) is a stock car racing series organized by NASCAR. It is promoted as NASCAR's second-tier circuit to the organization's top level Cup Series. Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) is an American professional stock car racing organization owned and operated by former Washington Redskins (today the Washington Commanders) coach Joe Gibbs, which first started racing on the NASCAR circuit in 1991. His son, J. D. Gibbs, ran the team with him until his death in 2019. Headquartered in Huntersville, North Carolina, roughly northwest of Charlotte Motor Speedway, the team has amassed five Cup Series championships since the year 2000. The Crayon 200 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series race held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire. When first held in 1990 NASCAR Busch Series, 1990, the race was 300 laps. It was scaled back to 250 laps, the length of the former fall NHMS race, starting in 1993 NASCAR Busch Series, 1993, and again to its current 200 laps in 1996 NASCAR Busch Series, 1996. Until 2010, in 23 races held at NHMS, there had never been a repeat Xfinity Series winner, the longest such streak in any of NASCAR's national touring series. The Grant Park 165 is an annual NASCAR Cup Series race held on the Chicago Street Course, a street circuit in Chicago, Illinois. In North American auto racing, a green–white–checker finish (GWC) is a racing restart procedure one in which the race is restarted from a caution period with 2 laps remaining. When the race distance is extended to accommodate such a finish, it is also sometimes known as an overtime finish. The name alludes to three racing flags: * green flag: shown to start or restart the race. * white flag: shown at the start of the last lap * checkered flag: shown at the finish of the race The prescribed number of final laps is usually two. If a caution flag is shown within the specified number of laps of the scheduled finish, then the number of remaining laps will not be decremented until the green flag is shown again. 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series
The 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series was the 41st season of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, a stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR in the United States. The season started with the Beef. It's What's for Dinner. 300 on February 19 at Daytona International Speedway and ended with the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Race on November 5 at Phoenix Raceway. Daniel Hemric entered the season as the defending champion and attempted to become the second driver in series history to win back-to-back championships driving for two different teams.
