Bradley Crandall (born Robert Lee Bradley; August 6, 1927 – March 14, 1991) was an American radio personality, voice-over announcer, and film narrator, best known for his radio show on WNBC (AM), WNBC in New York City, which aired from March 1964 to September 1971. Life and career Born in Herington, Kansas, Crandall served with the United States Marine Corps, U.S. Marine Corps where he was deployed to China in 1947 and stayed for two years. In the United States Air Force, U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, he became a disc jockey, known as Brad Bradley, using an Air Force mobile radio broadcasting unit. While still in the military, he attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. In civilian life, he worked at radio stations in Texas and Florida under his pseudonym Brad Crandall. Lauren Crandall (born March 17, 1985 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American field hockey player. At the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics, she competed for the United States women's national field hockey team in the women's event, serving as team captain in 2012 and 2016. She played for the national team from 2005 through 2016. Before joining the national team she played field hockey for Wake Forest University, winning the NCAA field hockey championship twice. Roland Dimon "Doc" Crandall (August 29, 1892 - August 14, 1972) was an American animator. He is best known for his work at Fleischer Studio, especially on the Betty Boop version of '' Snow White'' and as lead animator with Seymour Kneitel on the first year of the "Popeye" the Sailor cartoons starting in 1933. Crandall was born in New Canaan, Connecticut, and attended the Yale School of Art. He was one of the first employees of Fleischer Studio, working on the early Koko the Clown shorts in the 1920s. Crandall's drawing ability was legendary; he animated virtually the entirety of the 1933 Betty Boop cartoon, '' Snow White'' himself. The film has been deemed "culturally significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry. Rodolph Crandall (February 19, 1832 – October 23, 1922) was an American politician and soldier. A native of New York, he served in the American Civil War before settling in the state of Oregon. There he held several offices in Washington County, as well as serving twice as mayor of Hillsboro. Early life Rodolph Crandall was born on February 19, 1832, in Watson of Lewis County, New York. The family moved to Ohio, and Crandall later moved to Minnesota where he married Elizabeth Shannon (born 1847) in December 1862 in South Bend. Prudence Crandall (September 3, 1803 – January 27, 1890) was an American schoolteacher and activist. She ran the first school for black girls ("young Ladies and little Misses of color") in the United States, located in Canterbury, Connecticut. Orson Leon Crandall (February 2, 1903 – May 10, 1960) was a United States Navy diver and a recipient of America's highest military decoration - the Medal of Honor. Biography Orson Crandall was born on February 2, 1903, in Saint Joseph, Missouri. He enlisted in the Navy from Connecticut in June 1922, serving in several ships over the next decade. Trained as a diver in 1932–33 and designated a Master Diver in March 1939, he was serving in when she supported the rescue and salvage effort on the sunken submarine from May to September 1939. Chief Boatswain's Mate Crandall was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions as Master Diver during that operation.
