Craig Evans (Australian Footballer)
Craig Evans (born 26 February 1965) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong and the Brisbane Bears in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Evans was a local Geelong recruit, from the Grovedale Football Club. He appeared in nine games for Geelong during the 1986 VFL season and was then one of the players offered up by the club to the Brisbane Bears. At Brisbane for their inaugural league season, Evans had to wait until round 11 for his first game. He made his debut for the Bears in a fixture against Hawthorn at Carrara Oval and he kicked two goals. Craig Neil Evans (born 29 November 1969) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. Cricket Evans played in three Tests, against Sri Lanka, India and Australia, but was considered as a specialist at the one-day game. He appeared in the 1996 Cricket World Cup, with his highest international score 96 not out against Sri Lanka at SSC, Colombo in the Singer World Series in 1996. In February 2020, he was named in Zimbabwe's squad for the Over-50s Cricket World Cup in South Africa. However, the tournament was cancelled during the third round of matches due to the coronavirus pandemic. Craig Evans (born 15 November 1971) is a former Welsh cricketer. Evans was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break. He was born in Neath, Glamorgan. Evans made his debut for Wales Minor Counties in 1994 in the Minor Counties Championship against Herefordshire. From 1995 to 1995, he represented the team in six Championship matches, the last of which came against Cheshire. He played just a single MCCA Knockout Trophy fixture for the team, against Staffordshire in 1994. It was also in 1994 that he played his only List A match, when Wales Minor Counties took on Middlesex in the 1st round of the 1994 NatWest Trophy at Northop Hall Cricket Club Ground. Craig Anthony Evans (born 18 September 1989) is a Welsh professional boxer who challenged for the British lightweight title in 2015. Professional career Evans made his professional debut on 15 May 2010, scoring a first-round technical knockout (TKO) over Dan Carr at Upton Park in London, England. After winning his first 14 fights, three by stoppage, he fought Scott Cardle for the vacant British lightweight title on 30 May 2015 at The O2 Arena in London. The bout was part of the undercard of Kell Brook's IBF world title defence against Frankie Gavin. Evans suffered the first defeat of his career via unanimous decision (UD), with all three judges scoring the bout 116–112. Craig Evans (born 12 October 1991 in Neath) is a Welsh rugby referee. He has been a member of Wales' professional rugby union ranks since 2015.
