''Crackin' Down Hard'' is a Canadian short comedy film, directed by Mike Clattenburg and released in 2012. The films stars Nicolas Wright as a man trying to relax in isolation in California's Joshua Tree National Park, when another man (Yoursie Thomas) shows up to offer him a prostitute. The film premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, where it received an honorable mention from the Best Canadian Short Film award jury. Mike Clattenburg
Mike Clattenburg is a Canadian television and film director, producer and screenwriter. He is best known as creator, executive producer, writer and director of the TV comedy series ''Trailer Park Boys'' (2001–2008), for his work with ''This Hour Has 22 Minutes'' (2004), and as the co-creator of the Adult Swim series '' Black Jesus'' (2014–2019). Early life A native of Cole Harbour, a suburb of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Clattenburg spent his years after high school as drummer in a Police-inspired rock band, The Spawning Grunions.
