Absolute Radio Country is a British digital radio station, and is owned and operated by Bauer Radio. It is available in selected areas via DAB, and across the U.K. online, on Smart Speaker and also via the Absolute Radio App as part of the Absolute Radio Network. History The station originally launched as Country Hits Radio on 5 April 2019 and was positioned as the UK's first national country music radio station. The station is focused on modern country music and is aimed at listeners of 25–44. RAJAR for Early 2020 puts the station on an average of 257k listeners per week. Absolute Radio Country is available on DAB in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Lancashire, East Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear, Teesside, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Tayside, Inverness and Ayr. Downtown Radio is a Hot Adult Contemporary music radio station based in Newtownards, County Down, that serves all of Northern Ireland using a network of AM, FM and DAB transmitters. As of December 2022, the station has a weekly audience of 305,000 listeners according to RAJAR. The Shires are a British country music duo composed of singer-songwriters Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes. Earle sings harmony vocals, plays piano and guitar, and Rhodes is lead singer. Una Theresa Imogene Healy (born 10 October 1981) is an Irish singer. She rose to fame in 2008 as a member of five-piece girl group The Saturdays, who are signed to Fascination and Polydor Records. In 2006, she represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest, where she sang with Brian Kennedy on the song "Every Song Is a Cry for Love"; they placed tenth overall. Healy then auditioned for the Saturdays in 2007, after struggling to find success in her native country. David Robert Berry (born 14 September 1978 in Lewisham, London) is a British TV and radio presenter. Berry currently hosts the Absolute Radio Breakfast Show, every weekday from 6am. He previously presented '' The Capital Breakfast Show'' from 2012 until 2017, alongside Lisa Snowdon, George Shelley and Lilah Parsons. Career Tailoring Berry began work in 'The Observatory', a South London vintage clothes shop. He joined a modelling agency where he participated in campaigns for Ted Baker, French Connection, Toni & Guy and Burton. In 2009 he co-founded 'October House', a tailoring brand making bespoke suits from British fabrics. Charles Esten Puskar III (born September 9, 1965), also known professionally as Charles Esten, and Chip Esten, is an American actor, musician and comedian. Esten played the role of country singer Deacon Claybourne on the ABC/ CMT drama ''Nashville'' from 2012 to 2018, which subsequently kickstarted his own musical career. He also played Ward Cameron on the Netflix teen drama series ''Outer Banks''. He appeared in the improvisation show ''Whose Line Is It Anyway?'' as a series regular between 1999–2005 and returned in 2019 as a regular.
