Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime - CTTC is a specialized branch of Bangladesh Police formed to tackle terrorism and transnational crime. Deputy Inspector General Md. Asaduzzaman bpm (bar) is the chief of the branch. History Bangladesh Police recommended the formation of a special unit, called Police Bureau of Counter-Terrorism, in August 2011 to the Home ministry. In September 2013 the Home Ministry sent it to the Ministry of Public Administration. A rise in terror attacks in 2015 increased demand for the unit. On 16 February 2016 Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police was formed with 600 personnel. In March 2017 it carried out a raid in Sitakunda, Chittagong leading to the death of two militants. The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) is the unit of Bangladesh Police responsible for law enforcement in the metropolis of Dhaka, the national capital and most populous city in Bangladesh. Sitakunda Upazila
Sitakunda ( bn, সীতাকুণ্ড ''Shitakunḍo,'' ) is an upazila in the Chattogram District of Chattogram Division, Bangladesh. It includes one urban settlement, the Sitakunda Town, and 10 unions. Sitakunda is the home of the country's first eco-park, as well as alternative energy projects, specifically wind energy and geothermal power. Sitakunda is one of the oldest sites of human habitation in Bangladesh. Operation Twilight was a British record label, the UK branch of Belgian label Les Disques du Crépuscule. It was run by Patrick Moore, who now writes as Philip Hoare. Moore was working for Rough Trade Records at the time, and described the genesis of Operation Twilight thus: "Geoff Travis 'Rough Trade''and Michel Duval 'Crépuscule''cooked up a plan in January 1982 where I would start up the UK equivalent of Les Disques du Crépuscule. 1st Para-Commando Battalion
The Para Commando Brigade ( bn, :bn:প্যারা কমান্ডো ব্রিগেড (বাংলাদেশ), প্যারা কমান্ডো ব্রিগেড) is a special forces, special operations force of the Bangladesh Army. This special forces brigade is headquartered at Sylhet and is composed of two Para Commando battalions. The Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) ( bn, বিশেষ অস্ত্র ও কার্যপদ্ধতি, সোয়াট) is the police tactical unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police of the Bangladesh Police. They operate under Special Action Group of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime. The SWAT was formed to recover illegal arms and arrest hardcore terrorists and has a vital role in neutralizing any and all threats.
