Council Of Europe Office (Armenia)
The Council of Europe Office (Armenia) ( hy, Եվրոպայի խորհրդի գրասենյակ, translit=Yevropayi khorhrdi grasenyak) is the diplomatic mission of the Council of Europe (CoE) in Armenia. Its headquarters are located in Armenia's capital, Yerevan. History Armenia joined the Council of Europe in January 2001. In December 2002, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe passed a resolution to open an Information Office in Yerevan. Since then, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe has appointed special representatives of the Council of Europe to Armenia. Elite Plaza Business Center, also referred to as the Khorenatsi 15, is a business center in the financial center of Armenia's capital Yerevan opened in February 2013. With its 18 floors and 21,700 sq.m. of office space Elite Plaza is the largest business center in Armenia. A Culture Route of the Council of Europe, sometimes referred to as a European Cultural Route, is a certification awarded by the Council of Europe to networks promoting the European shared culture, history and memory. These routes must also match some fundamental values promoted by the Council of Europe such as democracy, human rights and intercultural exchanges in the framework of cultural tourism. A Cultural Route of the Council of Europe is not necessarily a physical path to be walked through and can be made up of cultural stakeholders such as museums, municipalities or local governments clustered into one umbrella association.
