Coulsdon Town Football Club was a football club based in Coulsdon, Greater London, England. History The club was established in 1968 as Reedham Park F.C. and played in the Croydon Saturday League. The club's name then came from the former Reedham Orphanage, which was in the same area as their first pitch at Higher Drive Recreation Ground. In 1975, the club moved to the Surrey Eastern Intermediate League, which became the Surrey South Eastern Combination following a merger. The club in the 1988–89 season, under the management of John Comerford, won the Premier Division championship and gained promotion to the Surrey County Premier League. In 1992 the club changed its name to Netherne F.C., to identify the club more closely with their present ground of Netherne C.A.S.C. and the local area, with the name of Netherne being associated with the former Netherne Hospital. Coulsdon (, traditionally pronounced ) is a town in south London, England, within the London Borough of Croydon, in the ceremonial county of Greater London since 1965. Prior to this it was part of the historic county of Surrey. History The location forms part of the North Downs. The hills contain chalk and flint. The Surrey Premier County Football League is a regional English football league for teams in South-West London, Surrey and neighbouring areas. It was founded in 2008. The league is at the 11th level of the English football league system and was incorporated into the National League System as a Step 7 league by the Football Association in June 2012. It has a division for first teams and a reserve division. The league was formed to bridge the gap between local intermediate leagues and the lower division of the Combined Counties League. The Surrey South Eastern Combination is one of the three intermediate association football leagues based in the English county of Surrey (the others are the Surrey Elite Intermediate League and the Surrey County Intermediate League (Western)). The Surrey County Senior League (previously known as the ''Surrey County Premier League'') was a football competition based in Surrey, England. It operated from 1982 until 2003 when it was absorbed into the Combined Counties League, which had itself been called the Surrey Senior League until 1978. The Combined Counties Football League is a regional men's football league in south-eastern England with members in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Jersey, Kent, Middlesex, Oxfordshire, Surrey, and the western half and south-eastern quarter of Greater London, featuring a number of professional clubs. The Football Association Challenge Vase, usually referred to as the FA Vase, is an annual football competition for teams playing in Steps 5 and 6 of the English National League System (or equivalently, tier 9 or 10 of the overall English football league system). For the 2017–18 season 619 entrants were accepted, with two qualifying rounds preceding the six proper rounds, semi-finals (played over two legs) and final to be played at Wembley Stadium.
