Menudo is a Puerto Rican boy band that was formed in Puerto Rico by producer Edgardo Díaz. Referred to as the "Most Iconic Latino Pop Music Band", Menudo has been ranked as one of the Biggest Boy Bands of All Time by several publications, including '' Billboard'', ''Us Weekly'', '' Seventeen'', and '' Teen Vogue'', being the only Latin band on their lists. The band had several radio hits during its course. They acted in a television film (1979's ''Leyenda de Amor'') and two feature films, ''Una aventura llamada Menudo'' and '' Menudo: La Película'', in a telenovela named "Quiero Ser" and a television mini-series named ''Panchito y Arturo''. Mickey Garcia (born October 21, 1961) is an American record executive, songwriter, music producer, and DJ. He is known for founding the record label MicMac Records and for his work as a Mastermix DJ on 98.7 Kiss FM. A boy band is loosely defined as a vocal group consisting of young male singers, usually in their teenage years or in their twenties at the time of formation. Abel ''Hábel''; ar, هابيل, Hābīl is a Biblical figure in the Book of Genesis within Abrahamic religions. Alexis Grullón
MDO is a Latin American pop/rock band, spun off in 1997 from the Latin American boy band once known as Menudo. The group's first line-up reunited for an international tour in 2015. Band history In the mid-1990s, Edgardo Diaz, Menudo's creator and director, sold the rights for the trademarked name Menudo to a Panamanian company. After the release and promotion of Menudo's album ''Tiempo De Amar'' in 1996, the remaining line-up formed MDO under the direction and production of Diaz at first. The members at the time were Abel Talamántez, Alexis Grullón, Anthony Galindo, Didier Hernández and Daniel René. Together they recorded the album '' MDO'' in 1997 (Gold Record). In 1999, they followed it with '' Un Poco Más''. Ricky López
José Ricardo "Ricky" López Jiménez is a singer and former member of the well known boy band, Menudo. Singing career Ricky López was discovered musically at age 13, when he was chosen to become a member of Menudo. Edgardo Diaz chose to nickname him "Ricky III", because of Ricky Meléndez and Ricky Martin's earlier stints in the group. López soon became known as "Ricky III" by Menudo fans in Puerto Rico and the rest of Latin America.
