Cosmo The Merry Martian
''Cosmo the Merry Martian'' was a comic book published by Archie Comics in the late 1950s. The comic was created by Bob White as a way to provide a family-appropriate comic for children with an interest in the then-current space race. The title character was the first Martian to visit the Earth. The title only lasted for six issues. Every issue, including the last one, had a cliffhanger ending. Besides the title character, other characters are Orbi (Cosmo's astronaut companion), Professor Thimk (the scientist who invented the Martian spaceship, but was not on it when it took off from Mars), and Astra (Cosmo's girlfriend). In the first issue, while they are traveling toward their intended destination of Earth, a meteor damages their spaceship, and they crash land on Earth's moon. The moon turns out to be inhabited by beings named Oogs, who live underground. A reboot of the series, titled ''Cosmo the Mighty Martian'', began publication in January 2018. ''Sonic the Hedgehog'' was an American comic book series published by Archie Comics, in partnership with Sega. The series was based on Sega's video game franchise, as well as on the 1993 animated series of the same name. After initially beginning with a four-issue miniseries from February to May 1993 (actually November 1992 to February 1993 as the cover dates did not reflect the actual publication dates of the issues), the first full-length issue of the comic was published in July 1993 (actually April 1993). Tracy Yardley
Tracy Yardley (born July 19, 1979, in Southern Illinois) is an American comic book artist best known for his work with the ''Sonic the Hedgehog'' comics, originally published by Archie Comics. Career Sonic the Hedgehog comics Yardley has been greatly interested in comics for most of his life, as well as the ''Sonic the Hedgehog'' video game series. He grew up reading the earliest issues of Archie Comics' officially licensed ''Sonic the Hedgehog'' comic book series. He professionally spells his name with an " !" at the end as a tribute to Scott Shaw, who also spelled his name the same way. Scott Shaw was one of the first artists whom worked on Archie Comics' ''Sonic the Hedgehog'' series. Cliffhanger
A cliffhanger or cliffhanger ending is a plot device in fiction which features a main character in a precarious or difficult dilemma or confronted with a shocking revelation at the end of an episode or a film of serialized fiction. A cliffhanger is hoped to incentivize the audience to return to see how the characters resolve the dilemma. Some serials end with the caveat, "To Be Continued" or "The End?". In serial films and television series the following episode sometimes begins with a recap sequence.
