Corny Point, South Australia
Corny Point is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located about to the east of the north-western tip of the Yorke Peninsula. It was named after the nearby headland, Corny Point (South Australia), Corny Point. The first pastoral lease was taken up in 1846 by James Coutts. The 2016 Australian census which was conducted in August 2016 reports that Corny Point had 105 people living within its boundaries. Corny Point is located within the federal division of Grey, the state electoral district of Narungga and the local government area of the Yorke Peninsula Council. Corny Point is a headland located on the west coast of the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia about north west of the town of Warooka. The point is described as being "a sloping rocky double projection..." where the "coast on the Nrthside is low and sandy whereas the coast on the Suthside is higher than the point itself." Carribie Conservation Park
Carribie Conservation Park is a protected area located in the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia about west of Warooka in the locality of Corny Point. The conservation park consists of land in the section 153 of the cadastral unit of the Hundred of Carribie. The land first received protected area status as a fauna reserve proclaimed on 11 July 1968 under the ''Fauna Conservation Act 1964''. Thidna Conservation Park is a protected area located in the Australian state of South Australia on the Yorke Peninsula in the locality of Corny Point about west of the state capital of Adelaide and about south-west of the municipal seat of Maitland. The conservation park occupies land in Allotment 102 in Deposited Plan 95664 within the cadastral unit of the Hundred of Carribie. It was proclaimed on 19 December 2017 under the ''National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972''. Narungga is a single-member Electoral districts of South Australia, electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. It was created by the redistribution of 2016, and was contested for the first time at the 2018 South Australian state election, 2018 state election. It is named for the Narungga people who are the traditional owners of the lands in most of the electorate. The Yorke Peninsula is a peninsula located northwest and west of Adelaide in South Australia, between Spencer Gulf on the west and Gulf St Vincent on the east.
