Cork Constitution
The Cork Constitution (CC) is a rugby union club based in Cork (city), Cork, playing in Division 1A of the All-Ireland League (rugby union), All-Ireland League. It was founded by staff of the ''Cork Constitution (newspaper), Cork Constitution'' newspaper. Since the paper did not publish on Sundays, the staff were looking for activities to pursue on Saturday afternoons. In the summer, cricket was played, while in the winter, rugby was the designated activity. The team currently plays in Temple Hill, Ballintemple, Cork, Ballintemple. Due to the introduction of professional rugby union, and its success at producing players who go on to obtain Munster contracts, Con, like many other senior rugby clubs in Ireland, has been unable to field a full strength side for a number of years. IRFU
The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) ( ga, Cumann Rugbaí na hÉireann) is the body managing rugby union in the island of Ireland (both Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland). The IRFU has its head office at 10/12 Lansdowne Road and home ground at Aviva Stadium, where adult men's Irish rugby union international matches are played. Rory Burke (born 27 April 1994) is an Irish rugby union player. He plays as a prop and previously represented Cork Constitution, Munster and Nottingham and Connacht. Seán French (rugby Union)
Seán French (born 14 August 1999) is an Irish rugby union player for English RFU Championship club Bedford Blues. He plays as a centre, wing or fullback. Early life Born in Cork, French won the Munster Schools Rugby Senior Cup in 2017 with Presentation Brothers College, alongside former Munster teammates Jonathan Wren and Jack O'Sullivan, with French scoring all of PBC's points in their 11–3 victory. John Fogarty (rugby Union, Born 1977)
John Fogarty (born 18 October 1977) is an Irish rugby union former player who is now scrum coach for Ireland. During his playing career, in which he played as a hooker, Fogarty for three of the four Irish provincial teams; Munster, Connacht and Leinster. At international level, Fogarty played for Ireland A and Ireland. Fogarty hails from Cork and was educated in Rockwell College. Fogarty enjoyed a two-year spell with Munster, from 2000 to 2002, and after moving teams, made 107 appearances for the Connacht. Denis Fogarty
Denis Fogarty (born 16 July 1983) is a former Irish rugby union player who played at hooker for Munster, Aurillac, Agen and Provence. He has also represented Ireland at schoolboy, U21 and 'A' level. He was educated at Rockwell College. In May 2016, Fogarty was forced to retire from rugby after suffering a recurrence of a shoulder injury. Munster Fogarty made his debut for Munster against The Borders in the Celtic League in November 2004. When Frankie Sheahan sustained an injury, Fogarty was called up onto the bench for Munster's 2006 Heineken Cup Final against Biarritz Olympique in May 2006. Garrett Fitzgerald (rugby Union)
Garrett Fitzgerald (14 June 1954 – 14 February 2020) was an Irish rugby union player and coach, who was CEO of Munster Rugby between 1999 and 2019. Life Born in Knockraha, County Cork, Fitzgerald attended Christian Brothers College, Cork and won a Munster Schools Rugby Senior Cup during the 1970s. During an 18-year playing career in rugby union, Fitzgerald played in the front-row for University College Cork R.F.C. and Cork Constitution. In a 19-year coaching career, Fitzgerald coached Christian Brothers College to five Munster Schools Senior Cups, as well as working with Irish Universities, Munster under-20s and UCC. Len Dineen
Len Dineen (born 14 December 1966) is an Irish former rugby union player. Career The son of famous rugby commentator Len Dinneen Sr, known as the "Voice of Rugby" in Ireland, Dinneen Jr played lock for Ireland Schools between 1984 and 1985, before joining Cork Constitution and winning the inaugural All-Ireland League with the club in 1991, and regularly representing Munster during the 1990s. Ivan Dineen (born 5 July 1987) is a former Irish rugby union player. He played as a centre or wing. Munster Dineen made his debut against Treviso in October 2010. Scott Deasy (born 11 October 1988) is an Irish rugby union player. He plays at fly-half, centre and fullback. Munster After shining at various age grades with Presentation Brothers College, Cork, including three years with the Senior Cup Team, Deasy joined the Munster Academy in 2007.
