Corinne Raux
Corinne Raux (born 16 August 1976 in Combourg) is a French duathlete who was duathon world champion in 2002. She also practiced the marathon successfully, taking 15th in the women's event at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Biography Youth Corinne Raux began sport in schools and ran in her youth for an Athletics club. She had some success, but focused on her studies and got a baccalaureate of science. She continued her studies and obtained a state diploma as a physiotherapist in 1998. Living in Savoy she naturally practiced mountain running, the VTT, but also the Duathlon where she had some success. Career in duathlon After resuming sporting activities suspended by her student career, she began practicing Duathlon in 2000 and quickly joined the team of France. In 2002, she won the ITU Duathlon World Championships in the United States. This is her only victory in a global competition. Maria Rebelo
Maria Rebelo (divorced Rebelo-Lelut; born 29 January 1956 in Ílhavo, Baixo Vouga, Portugal) is a retired female long-distance runner from France. She set her personal best of 2:29:04 hours in the marathon in 1991. Rebelo rose to prominence in the 1986 season by winning the Paris Marathon in the time of 2:32:16. Winner of her first national marathon title in 1990, Maria Rebelo took third at the 1990 European Championships at Split, finishing behind the Portuguese Rosa Mota and the Soviet Valentina Yegorova. She ran the best performance of her career on 21 April 1991 by completing the London Marathon in 2:29:04, then she placed fifth at the 1991 World Championships at Tokyo in 2:32:05. Selected to run at the 1992 Olympic Games, Rebelo did not finish. She won two more French national marathon championships in 1993 and 1994. The Paris Marathon (french: Marathon de Paris) is an annual marathon hosted by the city of Paris, France. It is the marathon with the second-most finishers in the world, behind the New York City Marathon. The marathon begins along the Champs-Élysées, runs southeast through the city to the Bois de Vincennes, heads back through the city along the River Seine, and finishes on Avenue Foch.
