Copa Euskal Herria (women's Football)
The Copa Euskal Herria de Fútbol Femenino is a knockout competition for women's football clubs in the Basque Country. Teams from Navarre and Iparralde had also played this competition. Since its establishment in 2011, Athletic Bilbao won eight titles and Real Sociedad four. Those two rival clubs appeared in all the finals until 2021, when Alavés qualified for its first final. From 2020, the lower division competition the ' Copa Vasca' (Basque Cup, won several times by Athletic Bilbao's B-team and once by Real Sociedad's first team) was incorporated as 'Group B' of the Copa Euskal Herria. The Euskal Herriko Futbol Txapelketa (Basque Country Football Championship) is a regional football friendly competition run by Euskal Herria Kirola ''(Basque Country Sport)''. It is contested by teams from the Basque Country that play in La Liga. It was first played in the 2016–17 season. Penalty Shootout (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Balls successfully kicked into the goal during a shoot-out do not count as goals for the individual kickers or the team, and are tallied separately from the goals scored during normal play (including extra time, if any). Amorebieta
Amorebieta-Etxano, also known as Zornotza (Spanish, ''Amorebieta-Echano''), is a town and municipality located in Biscay in the Basque Country, an Autonomous Community in northern Spain. At the time of the 2019 census, the population of the municipality was 19,339, with 16,907 inhabitants living in Amorebieta. The mayor is Andoni Agirrebeitia. Elgoibar
Elgoibar ( es, Elgóibar) is an industrial town located in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, northern Spain. Located in a valley, it is traversed by the Deba river. Elgoibar is nicknamed the "capital city of the Machine tool". Originally the town was called Villamayor de Marquina, but it had been founded in a place called before Elgoibar field. The town came to be known by this name a few centuries of its foundation. Until the mid-15th century it appears in the documentation as Villamayor de Marquina, but in the statutes of the Brotherhood of Gipuzkoa of 1457 and 1463 years appears with the Elgoibar name and it has prevailed until today. Guernica (, ), official name (reflecting the Basque language) Gernika (), is a town in the province of Biscay, in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, Spain.
