The Copa Chile (''Chile Cup'') is an annual cup competition for Chilean football teams. Due to time constraints and club pressure, the trophy was cancelled in 2000, but returned in 2008. Its precursor was the Campeonato de Apertura (''Opening Championship''), played from 1933 to 1950. The cup is now open to every member club of the Chilean football league system, from professional teams; ( Primera División, Primera B & Segunda División), down to teams from the ANFA: Tercera División. Since the season 2009, the winners obtained a direct Copa Sudamericana spot for the next season, however this was change starting from the 2015 edition; since then the winners obtains a direct Copa Libertadores spot for the next season. In the history of the tournament, the Primera División teams have dominated the competition; but, because this is contested in a knockout tournament format, the opportunity for lower-level teams upsetting a top level squad is a real possibility. 2022 Copa Chile
The 2022 Copa Chile (officially known as Copa Chile Easy 2022 due to its sponsorship), was the 42nd edition of the Copa Chile, the country's national football cup tournament. The tournament began on 19 March 2022 and ended on 13 November 2022, with the final match on neutral ground. Magallanes won their first Copa Chile title, defeating Unión Española 7–6 on penalty kicks after a 2–2 draw in the final. Colo-Colo were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Ñublense in the round of 16. Format The 2022 Copa Chile is based on a system of direct elimination with double-legged ties, similar to the Copa del Rey. In the first stage, clubs affiliated to ANFA (those from Tercera A, Tercera B and regional amateur leagues) and clubs from the Segunda División Profesional were paired into 14 ties with the winners and the best loser advancing to the second stage, in which those 15 teams were joined by the 17 Primera B clubs. The 2010 Copa Chile Bicentenario was the 31st edition of the competition. The competition started on March 27, 2010 with the preliminary rounds and concludes on December 8, 2010 with the Final. The winner qualifies for the 2011 Copa Sudamericana. Schedule First round The first leg was played between May 13 and 19 May 2010, with the second legs played between May 20 and 23. San Miguel (Spanish for "Saint Michael") is a commune of Chile located in Santiago Province, Santiago Metropolitan Region. It was founded on August 10, 1896. Lapis Lazuli
Lapis lazuli (; ), or lapis for short, is a deep-blue metamorphic rock used as a semi-precious stone that has been prized since antiquity for its intense color. Onyx
Onyx primarily refers to the parallel banded variety of chalcedony, a silicate mineral. Agate and onyx are both varieties of layered chalcedony that differ only in the form of the bands: agate has curved bands and onyx has parallel bands. The colors of its bands range from black to almost every color. Commonly, specimens of onyx contain bands of black and/or white. Agate () is a common rock formation, consisting of chalcedony and quartz as its primary components, with a wide variety of colors. Agates are primarily formed within volcanic and metamorphic rocks.
