Cooking, cookery, or culinary arts is the art, science and craft of using heat to prepare food for consumption. Cooking techniques and ingredients vary widely, from grilling food over an open fire to using electric stoves, to baking in various types of ovens, reflecting local conditions. La Cuisinière is a song written by Mary Bolduc and released by the Starr Record Company on her fourth record, alongside '' Johnny Monfarleau''. Although it was her fourth release, this was her first record to achieve any commercial success. ''La Cuisinière'' was very successful, selling twelve thousand copies in Quebec, which was unprecedented sales for a record at the time. The success of the song made Bolduc a household name in Quebec. The song tells of the encounters of a domestic servant with various suitors. The overall tone is humorous. This follows a long tradition of French comedic folk songs dealing with rejected suitors. The lyrics are set in five versus, each of four lines. Each verse ends with the phrase: ''Hourra pour la cuisinière''. The general rhyming scheme is rhyming couplets, with the first two and second two lines of each verse rhyming. Cook is an electoral district in Queensland, Australia. Cook covers the vast Cape York Peninsula north of Cairns, including the resort town of Port Douglas and the Torres Strait Islands. The Division of Cook is an Australian electoral division in the State of New South Wales. History Cook was created in 1969, mostly out of the Liberal-leaning areas of neighbouring Hughes. It was thus a natural choice for that seat's one-term Liberal member, Don Dobie, to transfer after the creation of Cook erased his majority in Hughes. The division was named in honour of James Cook, who mapped the east coast of Australia in 1770. In 2006, the Australian Electoral Commission's Redistribution Committee for New South Wales proposed that the division be jointly named for Joseph Cook, the sixth Prime Minister of Australia from 1913 to 1914. However as of 2022 no such action has been taken, and therefore Joseph Cook remains the only eligible Prime Minister who does not have a federal electorate named after him. Cook (11 November 2000 – 19 May 2016) was a Jack Russell Terrier dog actor known for his role as Pancho in the advertisement of Lotería Primitiva of Spain, in which he earned 500 euros per day of shooting. Biography He was born in Casteldefels, Barcelona, and his owner was Antonio Valor, his trainer, and his wife Yolanda. At the age of four months, he was sold for 70.000 pesetas and they decided to change his name into Cook (his original name was Lucke and it sounds too musical). His partner was Turia and they had several puppies; one of them, Ramsés, worked hardly. He first worked when he was only six months. Due to Loterías y Apuestas del Estado being sold to Goya Awards, Cook attended the 24th Goya Awards.
