''Continuum'' is the second studio album by American progressive metal band Prototype. The album was released on May 23, 2006 via Nightmare Records. The opening track on the album, "The Way It Ends", was featured as a bonus track in the music rhythm game '' Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock'' and as part of the ''Rock Band'' Network's downloadable content. Prototype (band)
Prototype is an American progressive metal band from Los Angeles. The band was formed in 1994 by vocalist/guitarist Vince Levalois and guitarist Kragen Lum, who were both members of Psychosis at the time. The band's current line-up comprises founding members Levalois and Lum, bassist Kirk Scherer and drummer Pat Magrath. Bassists Stephen Gambina and Mike Bear and drummers Damion Ramirez and Nic Ritter are former members of the band. Prototype has released three studio albums, one live album, two extended plays, three demos (with two others unreleased) and one compilation album, and collaborated on numerous other projects. Rhythm game or rhythm action is a genre of music-themed action video game that challenges a player's sense of rhythm. Neil Kernon is an English musician, record producer, mixer and recording engineer from London. He is a Grammy Award winner and has worked on over 100 Gold and Platinum records. Neil Citron is a Canadian, Toronto-born guitarist, Grammy Award-winning recording engineer, and songwriter who played with the California-based rock bands Hero and Lana Lane as well as briefly with heavy metal band Quiet Riot in 2006, among numerous other music industry credits. He has also worked on the films ''My Big Fat Greek Wedding'', ''That Thing You Do!'', and ''Ricki and the Flash''. The ''Rock Band'' Network (abbreviated RBN) was a downloadable content service designed by Harmonix with the help of Microsoft to allow musical artists and record labels to make their music available as playable tracks for the ''Rock Band'' series of rhythm video games, starting with '' Rock Band 2''. It was designed to allow more music to be incorporated into ''Rock Band'' than Harmonix themselves could produce for the games, and it was seen as a way to further expand the games' music catalog into a wide variety of genres. Progressive Metal
