Contadora Support Group
The Contadora support group ( es, Grupo de apoyo a Contadora, pt, Grupo de Apoio à Contadora) was a group composed by Argentina, Brazil, Peru and Uruguay. It provided support for the Contadora group from South America, in the conflict between Nicaragua and the United States. History The conflict between the United States and the Sandinista Junta in Nicaragua attracted the attention of fellow Latin American countries Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela, who started the Contadora group to request a peaceful solution. The Argentine president Raúl Alfonsín met the Peruvian president Alan García in Peru, during his presidential inauguration in 1985. Both of them agreed to make coordinated diplomatic actions in relation to the conflict. Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler (; (born 8 May 1975) is a Spanish singer and songwriter. The Rio Group (G-Rio) was a permanent association of political consultation of Latin America and Caribbean countries, created in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on December 18, 1986 with the purpose of creating a better political relationship among the countries. Caraballeda
Caraballeda is a Venezuelan town, capital of the parish of the same name in Vargas state. It is located on the Venezuelan central coast, facing the Caribbean Sea. It was devastated by the floods that occurred in 1999 known as the Vargas tragedy.
