Cone Athletic Park
Cone Athletic Park or Cone Park was the name of two multi-purpose athletic parks that hosted college football and baseball games as well as a minor league baseball team in Greensboro, North Carolina. The first park was built on Summit Avenue in 1902 on donated land. In 1906 it was moved several hundred feet north along Summit Avenue. It was the home of the Greensboro Patriots of the Piedmont League, the North Carolina State League, and other leagues from about 1905 until their move to World War Memorial Stadium in 1930. The Piedmont League was a minor league baseball league that operated from 1920 through 1955. The league operated principally in the Piedmont plateau region in the eastern United States. North Carolina State League

World War Memorial Stadium
World War Memorial Stadium, more commonly known as War Memorial Stadium, is a baseball park in Greensboro, North Carolina, United States. It is situated on the northeast corner of Lindsay Street and Yanceyville Avenue, northeast of the downtown area and near the campus of North Carolina A&T University. It is currently the home of the NC A&T baseball team of the NCAA Division I Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). It was the home of various local minor league baseball clubs off-and-on from 1930 through 2004. It also continues to be used for other amateur baseball events. Cone Mills Corporation
Cone Mills Corporation was a twentieth-century manufacturer of cotton fabrics that included corduroy, flannel, and denim. The company headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina and had its factory mills in parts of North and South Carolina. The company has its roots in a family-operated Baltimore grocery business that was managed mostly by Moses H. Cone and his brother Caesar. Cone Mills acquired several mills in the Southern United States that produced various fabrics. The companies they accumulated turned into a corporation; in its prime, it was the world's largest maker of denim fabric. Cone family members associated with Moses and Caesar became wealthy because of the corporation.
