Concordia Academy is a Christian high school (Grades 9–12) in Roseville, Minnesota, United States. Established in 1893, it is a Christian high school owned and operated by the Lutheran High School Association of St. Paul and affiliated with the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. History Concordia Academy originated in 1893 as the high school portion of Concordia College (now University) in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1967, the academy merged with St. Paul Lutheran High School, which had been founded in 1959. St. Paul Lutheran had occupied the building at 2400 North Dale Street in Roseville since 1962; that location became the site of the merged schools. Roseville is a city in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. It is one of two Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Twin Cities suburbs that are adjacent to both Saint Paul and Minneapolis (the other is Lauderdale, Minnesota, Lauderdale). The land comprising Falcon Heights, Minnesota, Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, and southern Roseville was unincorporated area, unincorporated until Roseville incorporated in 1948 and Falcon Heights and Lauderdale incorporated in 1949. The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), also known as the Missouri Synod, is a traditional, confessional Lutheran denomination in the United States. With 1.8 million members, it is the second-largest Lutheran body in the United States. The LCMS was organized in 1847 at a meeting in Chicago, Illinois, as the German Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States (german: Die Deutsche Evangelisch-Lutherische Synode von Missouri, Ohio und andern Staaten), a name which partially reflected the geographic locations of the founding congregations. Tri-Metro Conference (Minnesota)
The Tri-Metro Conference is a MSHSL-sanctioned athletic conference composed of schools found in the Twin Cities metro area. The conference competes in the majority of sports offered in the MSHSL. Most teams in the Tri-Metro compete in basketball and football tournaments at the AA or AAA level. While for the past twenty years a majority of schools in the conference had been private, the conference make up has changed in the past decade, with Brooklyn Center and St. Anthony, Columbia Heights and Fridley being public schools. Conference membership has changed several times in recent years. Richfield High School will join the conference in 2019. During her playing career, she was an All-American at North Dakota State University and won a bronze medal with the United States national team at the 1992 Summer Olympics.
