Concho is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Apache County, Arizona, United States. Concho is located on Arizona State Route 61, west of St. Johns. Concho was the original site for the state capital, due to its prosperous farming. As of the 2010 census, the Concho CDP had a population of 38. Concho has the ZIP code 85924. The United States Postal Service operates the Concho Post Office along Arizona State Route 61. Demographics History Prior to the arrival of Europeans, the Concho area was home to Indigenous Ancestral Puebloan peoples; the ruins of their pueblos can still be seen all over the area to this day. Apache County, Arizona
Apache County is in the northeast corner of the U.S. state of Arizona. Shaped in a long rectangle running north to south, as of the 2020 census, its population was 66,021. The county seat is St. Johns. Most of the county is occupied by part of the federally recognized Navajo Nation and the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, respectively.
