''Compartment No. 6'' ( fi, Hytti nro 6; russian: Купе номер шесть) is a 2021 co-production (media), internationally co-produced Drama (film and television), drama road movie co-written and directed by Juho Kuosmanen, starring Seidi Haarla and Yuri Borisov (actor), Yuri Borisov, based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Rosa Liksom. The film was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival. It shares the Grand Prix (Cannes Film Festival), Grand Prix with Asghar Farhadi's ''A Hero''. It was selected as the Finnish submission for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards and was one of the 15 "shortlisted" films in the category but was not nominated for the Oscar. Juho Kuosmanen
Juho Kuosmanen (born September 30, 1979) is a Finnish film director and screenwriter. He graduated from Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in 2014. Kuosmanen's graduation film called The Painting Sellers was nominated for five Finnish film Academy Awards. (set design, screenplay, best actress, best director, best film). The Painting Sellers won the first prize in Cinéfondation in Cannes Film Festival in 2010. Kuosmanen worked as an actor in Leea Klemola's arctic trilogy in Tampere Theatre in Kokkola and New Karleby. Kuosmanen has also directed opera with conductors Sakari Oramo and Santtu-Matias Rouvali. His film ''The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki'' was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the top prize. Dinara Anatolyevna Drukarova (russian: Динара Анатольeвна Друкарова; born 3 January 1976) is a Soviet and Russian actress and film director. Life and career Drukarova was born in Leningrad, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union (now Saint Petersburg, Russia), and still lives there half the year, spending the other half in France, where she tends to pursue most of her film roles. The Kanozero Petroglyphs are a set of rock drawings discovered in 1997 on an island in Lake Kanozero in the southwestern part of the Kola Peninsula in Murmansk Oblast, Russia. ''The Man Without a Past'' ( fi, Mies vailla menneisyyttä) is a 2002 Finnish comedy-drama film produced, written, and directed by Aki Kaurismäki. Aki Olavi Kaurismäki (; born 4 April 1957) is a Finnish film director and screenwriter.
