Communist Consolidation
Communist Consolidation (19351938) was an Indian revolutionary and communist organization, founded by Hare Krishna Konar among with other prisoners of the Cellular Jail with the ideology of Marx and Lenin's theory Marxism–Leninism. It was the largest resistance group against British rule in the Jail, this organization also led the historical 36-days hunger strike in 1937 where the British government had to bow before the demands of the political prisoners. History (Before 1935) The history of Communist Consolidation is older than, when the group was formed in 1935. On 12 May 1933, some of the prisoners of Cellular Jail gathered and started a hunger strike, causing the deaths of Mahavir Singh, Mohan Kishore Namadas, and Mohit Moitra. The British Raj acceded to the demands of the freedom fighters to stop the hunger strike and finally after 46 days hunger strike end on 26 June 1933. Shiv Verma (Hindi: शिव वर्मा; 9 February 1904 — 10 January 1997) was an Indian Marxism–Leninism, marxist revolutionary and a member of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association. Early life Shiv Verma was born on 9 February 1904 in Khateli village of Hardoi district in United Provinces of British India, United Provinces. At the age of 17, he participated in the Non-cooperation movement, Non-Cooperation Movement. He was a student of the DAV College, Kanpur, DAV College of Cawnpore. Anushilan Samiti
Anushilan Samiti ( bn, অনুশীলন সমিতি, , bodybuilding society) was an Indian fitness club, which was actually used as an underground society for anti-British revolutionaries. In the first quarter of the 20th century it supported revolutionary violence as the means for ending British rule in India. The organisation arose from a conglomeration of local youth groups and gyms (akhara) in Bengal in 1902. Jugantar or Yugantar ( bn, যুগান্তর ''Jugantor''; lit. ''New Era'' or ''Transition of an Epoch'') was one of the two main secret revolutionary trends operating in Bengal for Indian independence. Mohit Moitra
Mohit Mohan Moitra was an Indian revolutionary and Indian independence movement fighter in the 1930s. Early life Mohan Moitra was born in British India at Natun Bharenga, Pabna to Hemchandra Moitra. Revolutionary activities Mohan Moitra belonged to the Jugantar Party Rangpur Group. He was arrested on 2 February 1932 in Kolkata under the Arms Act Case. The police found revolver and ammunition from his house. He was deported to the Cellular Jail in Andaman Islands for five years.
